The Southern Nevada Police Athletic League (SNPAL) offers athletic and educational programs and activities, free of cost for youth, ages 6-17, living within Clark County, Nevada. The Southern Nevada Police Athletic League does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, parental status, sexual orientation, or disability.

Participation Registration and Liability Waiver:

I understand physical activities such as swimming, hiking, running, kayaking, soccer, basketball, bowling, tennis, wrestling, mixed martial arts, dancing, boxing, obstacle course racing, and other physical sports activities are hands-on sports, and that  by participating, my child is taking the risk of being injured. The listed sports are just an example of some of the physical sports and activities your child might participate in while participating in the SNPAL program.

 

I hereby release, waive, and agree not to sue the SNPAL, its employees, or any agent, coaches, participants, volunteers, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, or any others associated with the SNPAL from any and all liability arising out of my child’s participation in the program at any of the SNPAL sites or any other site where a PAL event is taking place, even if the liability arises out of negligence that may not be foreseeable at this time. I understand, consent to and authorize in advance, the use of my child’s name, voice, picture or other likeness, in combination or alone, in any broadcast, telecast, print medium, advertising, or promotion during any and all PAL activities.

 

I represent that my minor child is in sufficiently good physical condition to participate in the SNPAL programs and activities, including the physical sport activities listed above, without jeopardizing his/her health. I understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing this waiver and release, and I sign it voluntarily.

 

All members of SNPAL must adhere to the rules and regulations of the SNPAL program and be respectful of the SNPAL staff. Participants must be respectful to the SNPAL site staff, employees, other members, and the general public. The SNPAL staff does not tolerate vulgar language or profanity. All of the guidelines will be provided to the participants and explained by the SNPAL Officers/staff. If at any time a member does not follow the rules, regulations and guidelines of the SNPAL program, he or she can be suspended or expelled indefinitely. Also, if a member engages in criminal activity, anti-social and disruptive behavior, deviant behavior, gang activity, or wears clothing that is socially unacceptable while participating in the SNPAL program, he or she may be asked to leave the event, be suspended or expelled indefinitely. If applicable, the member the member may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The SNPAL has zero tolerance for any SNPAL member, who, at any time, is found to have any type of weapon in his or her possession. This includes, but is not limited to; firearms, knives, screwdrivers, box cutter, and other common carpenter tools such as hammers, pliers, edge gardening items and wire cutters. A member may not be involved in the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, or any tobacco products while being a participant of the SNPAL.

 

I understand that SNPAL Officers provide transportation to and from specified pick-up and drop-off locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. If I’m not able to get my child to a specified location, I agree to drop my child off at the SNPAL site no more than ten minutes before the start of class and will arrive back at the SNPAL site five minutes before the end of class. I understand that exact times and locations will be made known at the time of SNPAL registration.

I understand that if I do not follow the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the SNPAL, I can be expelled indefinitely from the program.
